4 Counter Productive Habits

When you want to make a change in your life you have to make a very important decision. Do you want to work to make this change or is it not that important to you?

I hope that you like me are willing to put in the extra work to make that change happen. There are some things that we have in our lives that will steal away our time without us even knowing it. Here are some things that can really reduce your productivity and by avoiding or changing, you will have much more time to use to make your life better.

#1 TV- I put this number one, because it is number one. We really do spend so much of our time in front of a TV or computer being entertained. You always hear people say that nothing is on or that they are flipping channels. You are wasting tons of time each week.

#2 Not scheduling – When you don’t have a schedule, be it a very specific down to the minute schedule or a to do list before dinner schedule, you are going to waste time and get side tracked from what want to do. Take shopping for groceries without a shopping list. You know you will spend extra money and buy things that you don’t want or need.

#3 Socializing e-style – It’s great to stay connected with friends and family, but who really needs to spend an hour reading about all the tweets and facebook postings that people shoot out all the time.

#4 Follow through – I find that starting something and not following through to be a part of my personal development. It can be difficult when something doesn’t start to go the way you want it to step away and leave it be. But by forcing myself to finish all of my projects completely, I have turned this into something that has helped me to be more productive in everything.

Do you have any thing that keeps you from being productive? What is it or how have you dealt with it?
